INAUGURATION OF A COLLABORATIVE CENTRE AT TIRUNELVELI FOR OFFERING THE LATEST
IMMUNOTHERAPY FOR CANCER

A centre for offering Autologous Immune Enhancement Therapy (AIET) was started in the Peace Health Centre, in a remote place called Tirunelveli which is 600Kms away from Chennai. As Dr Samuel JK Abraham, director NCRM and the Director of Peace health centre Dr Anburajan were from this place and had their medical education in Tirunelveli, it was their dream to start some thing state-of-the-art for the people of Tirunelveli. The latest weapon in the fight to cure Cancer being the Immunotherapy, with NCRM having got the technology from Japan from Biotherapy Institute, this collaboration became possible.

   

On the 9th of August, 2006 a press meet was conducted to announce the starting of the same in which Dr Anburajan explained the objectives of the collaboration. Following that Dr Samuel JK Abraham, made a presentation to the gathering about the intricacies and advantages of the Immunotherapy.

Initially the patients will be enrolled with the Peace Health Centre and upon preliminary evaluation, they will be referred to the Chennai centre of NCRM, where the ground work will be accomplished for the AIET.
