MoU SINGED WITH SASTRA UNIVERSITY
   


Tanjavur 25th october 2008: Nichi-In Centre for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM) signed a MoU with Sastra University, Tanjavur to facilitate academic and research collaboration between the two institutes. Sastra University is a two decade old university with excellent credentials in biotechnology, nanotechnology, translational research facility and bioengineering. The strengths of Sastra when combined with the stem cell expansion, tsissue engineering, biomaterials and nano-biotechnology of NCRM would benefit both in paving way for breakthrough findings in the field of regenerative medicine, said Dr Samuel JK Abraham, Director of NCRM, who signed the MoU representing NCRM. Dr S.Swaminathan, Dean, Sponsored Research of Sastra after siging the MoU explained about the importance of stem cell science and nano technology and the necessity for a synergy between these two specialties. The two institutes plan to exchange their faculty and also come out with joint research proposals.
