Chennai institute's work listed in Global Medical Discovery

Successful immunotherapy for Ovarian Cancer cited for its significance

Aug 2012, Chennai; Chennai based Nichi-In Centre for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM) has found its place in the list of globally significant medical discoveries. The Global Medical Discovery, a Canadian organization that publishes a selected list of globally significant patents, discoveries and publications, hence has listed* the recent work of NCRM on successful treatment of Ovarian cancer (Stage IV) with Autologous Immune Enhancement Therapy (AIET; www.immunotreatment.org) as one of the Key scientific articles.

AIET is a cell based immunotherapy using the patient’s own peripheral blood derived NK cells and CTLs which has been in practice in Japan close to two decades and NCRM is the only organization in India offering this to hospitals all over the country. In commemoration of NCRMs seventh anniversary and providing of AIET in India, a one day conference on the novel cell based therapies for Cancer will be held on the 13th October 2012 in Chennai. Prof. Iwasaki and Dr Terunuma from Japan and oncologists from India will deliver lectures. Details for registration available at www.ncrmniche.org
